I’ve been doing a bit of research into the presence of Rolex clocks at golf .

Rolex Service Centers would have a record (serial#, owner at that time) of any watch brought in for service. I believe that is the only time Rolex associates a serial# to a person. Not exactly sure of the procedure to report/inquire, but there are only 3 service centers in the US.
why are Rolex clocks important
To answer the question, just about any dive watch is perfectly fine on the golf course. They are made to withstand extreme pressure and the golf swing will do nothing compared to 1000 ft under water. If your watch is 18k+ gold I would be careful because it could ding fairly easily. 1.
There's another very small post here about a Jules Rolez. Yours is a lovely French marble clock and known as a timepiece, meaning the movement is time only, no striking of the hours. As you might glean from the little info there is on Rolez , I don't think your clock is 1820-1850. Rolez was apparently active closer to 1900. Short rant: Bothers me for some reasonI have no idea why, but it bothers me that Rolex has it's logo on the front and back of the rules and two multipage color ads in the beginning of the rules. Does the USGA really need a rules sponsor?Maybe part of the reason they need someone to defray the cos.
Posted July 10, 2023. The Rolex rankings "rewards" you for playing more of their ranked events. The more events you play that are ranked by the AJGA the better your rank and the divisor doesn't skew things as iteachgolf said. I definitely agree with your assessment in point 1.
