But the marketing of 10 years service intervals makes Rolex very attractive to non-watch fanatics! Watch faces always show 10:09 before switching to correct time. This is annoying and intolerable for an expensive product. Rolex or Seiko wouldn't force 10:09 on owners before updating to current time.
