All the wrist shot photos in this article show the Panerai 372 on my wrist which measures 6.5 (165MM) inches in circumference. I am 6 feet tall, but have smaller wrists, yet the Panerai 372 in not too large, and fits unbelievably well. For most people 47MM works well, once you get used to it. In an unexpected turn at SIHH earlier this year, Panerai announced a new 42mm Submersible, offering the same lovable and chunky shape but with less bulk on wrist. Its full name is the Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic Acciaio .
Panerai had been releasing a few 47mm and the 00372 caught my eye. Like the balanced and basic dial, especially the big fat letterings. I have a rather small wrist, about 6 1/3 inches. Yeah it really doesn’t look as big in the flesh as it does in wrist shots, and once you get used to it you never look back. I’ve tried a few 40mm watches since I got this and they look ridiculously small!
