The date wheel for the 2893-1 (OP asked about 2893, not 2892A2 nor 2824), when used according to ETA's docs, is stepped up 0.45mm to accommodate the center 24 hour indicator wheel. I'm guessing that complication has been replaced by the GMT mechanism. I read this in the operating instruction of a watch with ETA2836-2 movement. Setting the Day and Date. Do not set your watch between 8 pm and 2 am. This will seriously damage the watch, and such damage is not covered under the XXXXX XXXX warranty.
